Scallop Detection Method from 3D Shape of Aquaculture Facilities by ICP Algorithm

In scallop aquaculture, it is important to monitor the growth of scallops in sea for control. this paper, we propose a method automatically detect and determine whether they are alive or dead based on information obtained by 3D reconstruction underwater from images. The detected using Sparse ICP, multiple initial positions set deal with problem local solutions. judged survival defining an opening angle shell positions. experimental results showed that detection rate was 100% simulation data 81.3% real data. 76.9% These show number samplings three times larger than previous method, showing effectiveness proposed method.
